VININGS APARTMENTS

Vinings is a small, unincorporated town in Cobb County, Georgia. It lies a short distance from the Chattahoochee River, outside of Atlanta, and has almost 10,000 residents.

Vinings used to be called Paces, after Hardy Paces. Pace ran the Paces Ferry, which operated on the Chattahoochee River, and shipped between Atlanta, Buckhead, and Smyrna.

After the Civil War, a period in which Vinings, then Paces, was used as hospital grounds for the Union troops, a single, one-lane bridge was constructed over the Chattahoochie River, and the town was officially recognized as a community.

The median population age is 30, and the median household income is nearly $60,000 dollars. For every 100 females there are 92 males. Vinings is considered to be an area of Atlanta by the USPS. It is also the residence of the Home Depot headquarters.
